NuBlocks offers a comprehensive suite of custom nucleoside and nucleotide synthesis services designed to push your research progress forward. 

Phosphate: Our phosphate conversion transforms your lead compound into a purified biologically nucleotide.

Sugar: We are able to chemically modify both ribose and deoxyribose based sugars. Different functional groups can increase resistance to enzymatic degradation.

Base: Similar to sugar, functional groups can be used to chemically modify the base. We can customize the nucleobase to offer better target specificity for antiviral or anticancer therapeutics.

Linker: Part of the base modification is the ability to attach various linkers for further attachment of labeling compounds. We have experience using a variety of different linkers with different chain lengths.

Label: Attaching various dye molecules to allow researchers to tag a nucleoside for enhanced detection and analysis. We are fully capable in the chemistry of nucleoside linkers and labels.

We provide a full spectrum of custom nucleoside synthesis services—including phosphate conversion, triphosphates, base modification, sugar modification, novel nucleoside analogs, linkers, labels and custom phosphoramidites. 

Phosphate conversion starts with the customer providing a nucleoside compound to be phosphorylated and purified. We are able to make nucleoside monophosphates, diphosphates and triphosphates. A series of synthesis, purification and analysis are performed before the final compound completed.

Nucleotides are the building blocks of DNA and RNA, it consists of a nitrogenous base, a pentose sugar and a phosphate. Nucleosides are nucleotides with the phosphate group removed. Phosphoramidites are modified nucleosides with a phosphite ester and other protection functional groups. Phosphoramidites are used in solid state oligonucleotide production.

Depending on the amount and complexity this can vary. Often we aim for a week completion but projects that require large amounts of are challenging synthetically may take several weeks Clear communication channels will be maintained from start to finish.
